Provided are a receiver and a receiving method thereof. The receiver (10) includes: a zero intermediate frequency channel (11) for carrying out an IQ downward conversion on a radio frequency signal in a first frequency band using a divided frequency or multiplied frequency signal of a first oscillation signal, and a superheterodyne channel (12) for carrying out a downward conversion on a radio frequency signal in a second frequency band using the divided frequency or multiplied frequency signal of the first oscillation signal, wherein the first frequency band is different from the second frequency band. The zero intermediate frequency channel and superheterodyne channel in the present invention employ the same oscillation signal or the divided frequency or multiplied frequency signal thereof, overcoming the problem of the mutual influence between the oscillation signals caused by simply integrating two kinds of channels, thus being able to achieve the integration of a plurality of receiving channels in a single chip.
