The present invention is designed to prevent damage to a fuel tank which is caused by a propeller shaft during an automobile collision, without an increase in cost. The present invention is an automotive fuel tank damage-preventing structure in which a fuel tank (19) and a propeller shaft (20) are disposed under the floor between the front and rear wheels. The present invention is configured such that a guide member (35) is provided under the floor between the propeller shaft (20) and the fuel tank (19), with a space (S) interposed between the guide member (35) and the fuel tank (19), so that when the propeller shaft (20) is caused to move toward the fuel tank (19) side due to the automobile collision, the propeller shaft (20) comes into contact with the guide member (35), and the guide member (35) guides the propeller shaft (20) in a direction away from the fuel tank (19).
