TRANSPARENT AND FLAME RETARDING POLYESTER RESIN COMPOSITION AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A flame retardant polyester resin composition is provided to use polyethylene naphthalate-polyethylene terephthalate copolymer resin, to satisfy transparence and flame retardance at the same time, while having good physical properties. CONSTITUTION: A flame retardant polyester resin composition comprises: a polyethylene terephthalate and a mixture of polyethylene naphthalate or a copolymer thereof; 0.05-5 weight% of organically-modified nanoclay; 0.05-5 weight% of phosphate-based flame retardant, and 0.1-5 weight% of a chain extender. In the polyethylene terephthalate and a mixture of naphthalate or a copolymer, the nanoclay is dispersed along longitudinal direction with the size of 10-200 nm. The mixing weight ratio of the polyethylene terephthalate and polyethylene naphthalate is 1:9-9:1.
