The invention relates to a testing system for carrying out blood sugar tests with a diagnostic strip cassette (12), which comprises a wind-up analytic test strip (50) for detecting an analyte and a cassette housing (48) accommodating the test strip (50), and a testing device (10), which has a device housing (16) for inserting and removing the strip cassette (12) and a measuring unit (22) for recording the analyte on the test strip (50).  According to the invention, it is proposed that the strip cassette (12) can be detachably fixed by positioning elements (24) on a platform (20) mounted in the device housing (16), and that the measuring unit (22) is rigidly fixed on the platform (20) or can be brought into engagement therewith.
