<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound listening rod which can accurately discriminate even a small leak sound and sufficiently capture the leak sound of high frequency. <P>SOLUTION: A sound listening rod 1 comprises a rod-like part 2 with a tip end 2a formed sharply and a housing part 3 including a lower-side housing 4 with an insertion hole 4a bored in the bottom surface, an upper-side housing 5 with a sound listening hole 5a bored in the top face, and a diaphragm 6 arranged in the lower-side housing 4 and the upper-side housing 5.
