<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing device and a computer program capable of performing test verification by using the application definition of the own device. <P>SOLUTION: When a verification start instruction is given (S11: YES) or when definition information is updated (S12: YES), collection of the data input from a data source is carried out (S13) and narrowing processing on the collected data is performed (S14). In the narrowing processing on the data, reduction of the number of data used for verification is performed by extracting records and items to be processed according to definition information defining the application of a device. Then, verification of the application is performed by using the narrowed data (S15). In the application verification processing, a virtual transfer destination of the data is provided in the device, and the data is output to the virtual transfer destination.
