<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of deterioration of image quality in a subject enlarged by electronic zooming. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: a plurality of imaging sections imaging subject light resolved into a plurality of color components for every color component; a thinning interpolation section reading a signal from a pixel position which is not overlapped with one another among the plurality of images corresponding to the respective color components which the plurality of imaging sections image and generating the image of a color array which is previously set; a whole pixel reading section reading whole pixels for the respective color components from a designated region of the plurality of images, which correspond to the respective color components which the plurality of imaging sections image; a zooming section varying a zoom magnification; and an image processing section generating a color image by performing an image processing peculiar to the color array on the image of the color array which the thinning interpolation section generates, when the zoom magnification of the zooming section is equal to or lower than a threshold which is previously set, and generating the color image from the images for the respective color components which the whole pixel reading section reads for the whole pixels when the zoom magnification is larger than the threshold which is previously set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
