<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of a signal line in a connection region and reliability of a display device by preventing foreign substance such as moisture from entering from a boundary surface between a transparent conductive film and an insulating film below it. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a display device configured such that the signal line comprises a first signal line, a second signal line formed over the first signal line with a first insulating film interposed, and a transparent conductive film CHL formed over the second signal line with a second insulating film interposed, and the transparent conductive film CHL is formed covering a first connection hole TH1 penetrating the first insulating film and the second insulating film to reach the first insulating film and a second connection hole TH2 penetrating the second insulating film to reach the second signal line. The display device includes a groove part DCH which is arranged between a connection hole closer to an edge of a substrate between the first connection hole TH1 and the second connection hole TH2 and the edge of the substrate, and formed in the first insulating film or/and the second insulating film, an edge of the transparent conductive film CHL extending to a bottom of the groove part DCH. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
