<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately improve visibility of a target blood vessel. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic endoscope system includes: a rotary filter 106 which has a plurality of narrow-band filters for transmitting white light limited to narrow-band light, and successively irradiates living tissue in a body cavity with the illumination light of a plurality of colors; a CCD 102 which images the living tissue for each color under the illumination light of the plurality of colors, and outputs the chrominance signals of the colors as imaging signals; and a suppressed display processing part 103 which generates a display image on the basis of the imaging signals output by the CCD 102, and reduces the contrast of a blood vessel of a non-target object among surface layer blood vessels and middle depth layer blood vessels projected on the display image, thereby suppressing the display of the non-target blood vessel with respect to the target blood vessel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
