<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller that efficiently specifies an apparatus to be remotely controlled and allows the apparatus to be remotely controlled to be operated, and further to provide a program and the like. <P>SOLUTION: A remote controller includes: an imaging section for imaging an apparatus; a recognizing section for performing recognition processing of the apparatus; and a remote control processing section for performing remote control processing for remote control operation of the apparatus. The recognizing section performs shape recognition processing of the apparatus captured in an imaged image by image recognition processing of the imaged image.
