<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an original conveyance unit from being closed while it is forgotten to close an opening/closing member for jam cancellation in the case of providing the opening/closing member on a back surface side of the original conveyance unit. <P>SOLUTION: An original reader includes: an image read part arranged at the lower part of platen glass 22; an ADF 24 attached so as to be opened and closed to the platen glass 22; a jam detection part 27 for detecting jam of an original in a conveyance route of the ADF 24; an opening/closing cover 132 provided on the platen glass side of the ADF 24 and capable of exposing at least a part of the conveyance route by being opened; a first detection part 80 for detecting the opening/closing state of the opening/closing cover 132; a second detection part 81 for detecting an opening/closing angle to the platen glass 22 of the ADF 24; and an alarm notification part 584 for notifying an alarm in the case of determining that the opening/closing cover 132 is opened by the first detection part 81 when it is detected that the ADF 24 is closed to a prescribed angle or less by the second detection part 81. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
