[Problem] For a light source device comprising an excitation light source formed with a semiconductor laser diode, an optical system that concentrates the excitation light therefrom, a fluorescent body that is excited by the concentrated excitation light and radiates fluorescent light in the direction opposite the excitation light source, and a glass substrate on which the fluorescent body is formed, to provide a configuration with which the amount of use of the fluorescent body can be minimized without using a color wheel, and with which the fluorescent body can be cooled efficiently, and with which the device can be made more compact without providing a complex device such as a rotating mechanism. [Solution] A light source device characterized in that a cooling mechanism is provided on the aforementioned glass substrate, and a window part corresponding to the aforementioned fluorescent body is formed in the cooling mechanism. |
