The method involves temporarily guiding a perform (3) by a horizontal stretching rod (27) during a forming and filling phase. The perform is stretched along axial direction. A molded and filled container (2) i.e. bottle, is relieved in a two-stage discharge phase at atmospheric and/or ambient pressure, after completion of the forming and filling phase. A channel is formed in the horizontal stretching rod coaxially with axles. A back gas passage is formed in a bearing head. The back gas passage is connected with a ring kettle (15) over a control valve (39). The container is made of thermoplastic material. An independent claim is also included for a device for manufacturing preforms.
