IL-17 HOMOLOGOUS POLYPEPTIDE AND THERAPEUTIC USE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the recombinant production of novel polypeptides having sequence identity to interleukin-17 and to interleukin-17 receptor protein, designated as PRO polypeptides, and the identification and isolation of novel DNA.

SOLUTION: There are provided: the novel polypeptides expressed higher in kidney tumor, lung tumor, and rectal tumor compared with normal tissue and nucleic acid molecules encoding those polypeptides; vectors and host cells comprising those nucleic acid sequences; chimeric polypeptide molecules comprising the polypeptides fused to heterologous polypeptide sequences; antibodies which bind to the polypeptides; and methods for producing the polypeptides.
