<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor capable of preventing heat degradation of a rubber cap attached to the rear end side of a main metal fitting. <P>SOLUTION: The gas sensor includes: a gas sensor element 10; a main metal fitting 138 for holding the gas sensor element 10, a metallic outer cylinder 144 attached to the outer periphery of the main metal fitting 138 and extended to a rear end from the main metal fitting 138; a lead wire 146 electrically connected to the gas sensor element 10 on the inside of the outer cylinder 144 and drawn out to the rear end from the outer cylinder 144; and a rubber cap 150 interpolated into the rear end side of the outer cylinder 144 and forming a through hole 161 for inserting the lead wire 146 in an axial direction, and further includes a metallic heat radiation member 50 attached to the outer periphery of the outer cylinder 144. The heat radiation member 50 includes a connection part 51 connected to an area S further rear end side from the rear end of a contact part W<SB POS="POST">1</SB>between the main metal fitting 138 and the outer cylinder 144 out of the outer periphery of the outer cylinder 144 and further tip side from the tip of the rubber cap 150, and a heat radiation main part 53 separated from the outer periphery of the outer cylinder 144 while being connected to the connection part 51 and arranged so that its own rear end is located on the tip side from the rear end of the rubber cap 150. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
