<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for effectively performing file access. <P>SOLUTION: In an information processing apparatus 10, a file system 100 manages files in a storage unit 130. A process start unit 94 receives a start instruction and starts an application. A path acquisition unit 102 acquires, when the application is started, a path of an application file in the storage unit 130. A mounting unit 104 associates the path acquired by the path acquisition unit 102 with a predetermined virtual mounting point.
