<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beauty appliance shortening a head cooling preparation period and reducing power consumption; and to provide a beauty appliance enhancing safety and reliability by preventing a short circuit and a malfunction caused by the adhesion of lotion to an electronic component and the like mounted on a circuit board, even in such a case that the lotion intrudes into a body case, and by eliminating the case of bringing the beauty appliance into an overheated state. <P>SOLUTION: The beauty appliance includes the body case 1, a head 2 for cooling a skin surface, a cooling unit 12 that includes a thermoelectric conversion element 44 for cooling the head 2, a heat sink 30 for heat dissipation, which is connected to the cooling unit 12, and a blast means 31 for supplying heat exchange air to the heat sink 30. The drive of the thermoelectric conversion element 44 and the blast means 31 is started by operations of switches 3 and 4 that are provided in the body case 1; and control is performed so that the drive of the blast means 31 can be stopped after a lapse of predetermined time and so that the drive of the thermoelectric conversion element 44 can be stopped after a further lapse of predetermined time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
