A liquid crystal display device (100) of the present invention includes: a region dividing section (151) for dividing a liquid crystal display section (170) into a plurality of regions; a region determining section (152) for determining which region is a first region where a natural image is displayed and which region is a second region where an artificial image is displayed; a viewing angle setting section (153) which (i) sets a viewing angle so that the viewing angle is increased in the first region where a natural image is displayed and (ii) does not set the viewing angle so that the viewing angle is increased in the second region where an artificial image is displayed. This can display the artificial image, without deteriorating a display quality of the artificial image, even in a case of simultaneously displaying the natural image and the artificial image.
