<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bendable portion of an endoscope which can sufficiently ensure the strength in a direction applied with a load and is small in diameter and thin; and to provide a method for manufacturing the bendable portion of the endoscope. <P>SOLUTION: The bendable portion 23 includes a joint ring 30 formed by rotatably coupling adjacent rings.
