<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the spectroscopic deterioration of a light guide. <P>SOLUTION: An endoscope processor 20 includes a memory 23, a system controller 24 and a color difference operation circuit 27. When the initial setting of the light guide is executed, the memory 23 houses an initial spectroscopic signal and, when a light guide inspection function is executed, the color difference operation circuit 27 reads the initial spectroscopic signal from the memory 23. Further, the color difference operation circuit 27 calculates the discrimination value on the basis of the initial spectroscopic signal and the inspection spectroscopic signal. Furthermore, the color difference operation circuit 27 compares the discrimination value with first and second threshold values to discriminate whether the spectroscopic deterioration is generated in the light guide 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
