<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode material which can achieve higher capacity than ever while having a stable crystal structure. <P>SOLUTION: An electrode material according to the present invention includes a vanadium-based composite oxide, whose composition M<SB POS="POST">x</SB>V<SB POS="POST">3</SB>O<SB POS="POST">8</SB>(0<x<1) is such that an alkali metal M is deficient for its crystal phase (MV<SB POS="POST">3</SB>O<SB POS="POST">8</SB>). Therefore, because lithium ions can be inserted in even a site where potassium ions originally exist and because the movement resistance of electric charges conveyed in an electrolyte drops, use of the electrode material makes it possible to obtain a power storage device having an extremely high capacity. Still more, since the alkali metal M exists even when a composition ratio of the M is reduced, the crystal structure can be maintained without collapsing significantly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
