LIQUID LEAKAGE DETECTION METHOD AND LIQUID LEAKAGE DETECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid leakage detection method and a liquid leakage detector capable of easily performing liquid leakage inspection even during the day without being affected by sunlight.

SOLUTION: A surface of an oil enclosure installation 2 where an insulation oil is enclosed is irradiated with and scanned by a laser beam with wavelength in a mid-infrared region from a liquid leakage detector 1 while the wavelength is swept including a light absorption wavelength band of the insulation oil. A drop in light reception intensity of reflected light due to light absorption of the insulation oil is detected so as to detect leakage of the insulation oil.
