<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly display behavior of a vehicle by effective use of an image captured by a camera. <P>SOLUTION: A drive recorder determines whether or not to record vehicle data or video data in a recording medium of the drive recorder, on the basis of a result of visual recognition of the video image captured by the camera. In a video recording device 14, an intersection specifying section 102 specifies an intersection where a vehicle travels on the basis of map information stored in a map DB 109 and vehicle information acquired by a data acquiring section 101, and an intersection analyzing section 103 and a position analyzing section 104 specify a position of the vehicle in the intersection specified by the intersection specifying section 102, on the basis of the image data and position of a landmark included in an intersection information DB 110 and a result of visual recognition of the video image captured by the camera.
