<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club and a method for changing a shaft insertion depth capable of changing an insertion depth of a shaft case. <P>SOLUTION: In the golf club, a shaft 4 is installed to a hosel 3 of a head 1 through the shaft case 5, a spacer 8. The shaft case 5 is firmly fixed to the tip of the shaft 4 by the use of an adhesive. The shaft case 5 is inserted into the hosel 3 through the spacer 8, and fixed with a bolt 7. A partitioning plate 6 is arranged in a tube 3h of the hosel 3.
