<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope that can observe an object by keeping sufficient brightness around the object without increasing the quantity of heat generated at an illumination optical part during an observation with a light-emitting element lighted. <P>SOLUTION: The endoscope includes: a cylindrical tip cover 8 formed of a transparent resin member and composing a tip 12 of the endoscope 10; an observation optical part 20 disposed in a second opening 8b provided in the tip cover 8; and an illumination optical part 30 composed with an output end face 32 of a light-emitting part of a light-emitting element 31 disposed at the proximal end of the tip cover 8. The tip cover 8 includes: a plane portion 8p composed of a plane located ahead of the light-emitting part emission end face 32; and a slope portion 8s1 continued to the plane portion 8p, and whose distance from the plane portion 8p of the tip cover 8 continuously increases as getting closer to the circumferential edge of the tip 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
