<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of decreasing the size thereof in a constitution of forcibly consuming toner from a developing device. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus forms a high-density solid toner pattern P on a photoreceptor drum 11 at non-image forming time. The image forming apparatus controls switching between a direct voltage and an alternating voltage by supplying a minus direct voltage TB1 which is the same polarity with the toner to a transfer roller as a transfer bias in the period from when a front end Ps of the formed toner pattern P is reached to a transfer nip secured between the photoreceptor drum and the transfer roller pressed thereto (time-point T1) to when a rear end Pe of the toner pattern P is passed through the transfer nip (time-point T2), and by supplying an alternating voltage TB2 after the rear end Pe of the toner pattern P is passed through the transfer nip (after the time-point T2). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
