<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fade determination device and a braking device, which can properly determine the fade state of a brake device. <P>SOLUTION: The fade determination device 7 determines the fade state of the brake device 11, which brakes a wheel 2 of a vehicle 1, based on the deceleration of the vehicle 1 and the slip amount of the wheel 2. The braking device 6 includes: the brake device 11 which can adjust the braking force generated to the wheel 2 of the vehicle 1; and a control device 7 which controls the slip state of the wheel 2 by controlling the braking force. The control device 7 determines the fade state of the brake device 11, based on the deceleration of the vehicle 1 and the slip amount of the wheel 2, and adjusts the amount of increase or decrease of the braking force in accordance with the fade state.
