<p>The objective of the present invention is to provide a component-mounting apparatus and a component-mounting method, such that takt-time loss accompanying pick-up failures can be prevented. The mounting turn to be executed and identifiers (feeder numbers) of the feeder apparatuses (13) to be the feed sources of component (4) in the mounting turn are read out from a mounting program (Step ST3), and an assessment is made as to whether there is a non-feeding feeder apparatus, which does not feed components (4) to a component-feeding position (13p), among the feeder apparatuses (13) corresponding to the read-out identifiers, on the basis of outputs from component-detection sensors (37) provided at the feeder apparatuses (13) corresponding to the read-out identifiers (step ST5). When there is no non-feeding feeder apparatus as a result of the assessment, the read-out mounting turn is executed (steps ST8-ST11), and when there is a non-feeding feeder apparatus as the result of the assessment, execution of the read-out mounting turn is postponed, and another mounting turn is read out (step ST6).</p> |
