The device has two molding tools (10, 20) for producing two component parts of a multi-part component and designed as an injection molding or injection pressing tool and a pressing tool, respectively. The molding tools comprises outer molding tool elements (11, 21) and inner molding tool elements (12, 22), where the inner and outer molding tool elements form two cavities (13, 23). Plastic molding material is introduced into one of the cavities. The molding tool elements are moved in a translatory direction (T) and comprise a fixing unit for fixing the component in the cavities. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a multi-part component.
