<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antioxidant composition which has an antioxidative potential comparable to that of ethoxyquin or BHT, is inexpensive, ensures such a level of safety as to enable use in foods and cosmetics, and does not affect the growth of livestock and poultry. <P>SOLUTION: The antioxidant composition contains a distillate of a vegetable oil as an active ingredient, and when it is added to foods, feeds, cosmetics or agricultural chemicals, oxidation of these can be prevented.
