<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform high-precision and large-capacity recording by effectively utilizing areas for various uses even when a recording learning area is consumed, and to perform recording and reproduction maintaining recording and reproduction compatibility with existing recording and reproducing devices. <P>SOLUTION: A learning execution amount calculation unit 11 calculates a recording learning use size according to conditions of recording to an optical disk and a recording position of a user data area. A learning execution area setting unit 12 acquires information on an unused part of a learning area from management information and when the size of the unused area does not reach the recording learning use size, the learning execution area setting unit calculates the size of an unrecorded area of the whole user data area and searches for a continuous unrecorded area to determine a reservation area of the recording learning use size in the user data area and also to register the reservation area as a recorded area in an optical disk recording management list. A reservation area release unit 13 deletes the reservation area recorded as the recorded area from the optical disk recording management list when recording to the optical disk is completed without using the reservation area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
