<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment device of a hybrid system without deteriorating fuel efficiency, by dispensing with maintenance of the temperature. <P>SOLUTION: NOx, HC, and CO held in a gas storage part 23 and PM held by a PF22 are oxidized or reduced by reacting with an oxidizing agent and a reducing agent included in exhaust gas by plasma and an electromagnetic wave generated by electric power supplied from a battery 16 when an engine 11 stops operation. At this time, though the PF22 and the gas storage part 23 are indirectly heated by reduction reaction of the NOx or oxidation reaction of the PM and the HC, the whole is not directly heated by the electric power from the battery 16. Thus, energy required for oxidation of the PM and the HC or reduction of the NOx is reduced. Thus, a specific substance discharged from the engine 11 can be treated without deteriorating the fuel efficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
