PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless motor which can reduce torque ripples of both electric angle 6th-order and electric angle 12th-order components, and a brushless motor drive method.
SOLUTION: A rotor core 16 is halved in an axial direction to form split rotor cores 16a and 16b. Then, to ensure that a magnetic skew at an electric angle of 60 degrees will be maintained between the magnetic pole of the rotor core 16 and the magnetic pole of a stator (tooth 9), the split rotor cores 16a and 16b are arranged so that they are displaced in one direction by only 6 degrees centering around the center line of rotation axis, respectively. This makes it possible to eliminate the torque ripple of an electric angle 12th-order component which develops in a brushless motor. Also, the stator has two different 3-phase windings wound at a slot pitch of 30 degrees in terms of an electric angle. These two different 3-phase windings have electrical continuity with a 30-degree phase difference.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
