<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for recovering carbon dioxide which achieve reduction in energy to be supplied for regeneration of an absorbing liquid. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for recovering carbon dioxide has: an absorption column which absorbs carbon dioxide by bringing carbon dioxide-containing gas into contact with the absorbing liquid; a regeneration column for regenerating the absorbing liquid which has absorbed carbon dioxide, by releasing carbon dioxide from the absorbing liquid; a circulation system for circulating the absorbing liquid so that the absorbing liquid returns to the absorption column from the absorption column via the regeneration column; and a steam supply system which uses at least one of the absorbing liquid that is returned to the absorption column and the absorbing liquid in the absorption column to generate steam that can be used as a heat source for regenerating the absorbing liquid and which supplies the steam to the regeneration column. Absorption of carbon dioxide and release/regeneration of carbon dioxide are repeated and high temperature steam is generated from the absorbing liquid that is returned to the absorption column and the absorbing liquid in the absorption column, and the steam is supplied to the regeneration column and is used as the heat source for regenerating the absorbing liquid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
