<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for electric vehicles, which can facilitate its operability by giving both functions of advance and retreat of a vehicle to an accelerator mechanism that adjusts the vehicle speed. <P>SOLUTION: Accelerator operation is enabled in a usual movable range α1 and a slow speed movable range α2. The controller has a throttle spring which returns the opening of a throttle to the side of its minimum opening at non-operation of an accelerator. It has a driver for driving a motor in accordance with the throttle opening. The throttle spring lessens the throttle opening by energizing an accelerator grip to its slow speed reference opening SL0 being the middle position of the slow speed movable range α2. The controller is equipped with a slow speed control part which supplies the driver with a motor drive command so as to advance the electric vehicle at slow speed in a region α2F where the opening of the throttle is large on the basis of the slow speed reference opening SL0 and to retreat the electric vehicle at scheduled slow speed in a region α2R where the throttle opening is small on the basis of the slow speed reference opening SL0, in the slow speed movable range α2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
