<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device on which an excessive load is not imposed when an authentication technique with high reliability is adopted. <P>SOLUTION: A portable electronic device 2 that interprets and executes a command instruction from the outside, and returns the result, comprises: a communication unit 105 that includes a reception unit which receives target data composed of plural elements presented by a predetermined command from the outside and a response unit which returns an index to the outside; a data memory 102 that includes a storage unit which stores registration data having the same structure as that of the target data; and a control element (CPU) 101 that includes a calculation unit which calculates, from differences between the respective elements of the target data and the registration data, the index for determining similarity between both the data pieces. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
