<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To block the water from infiltrating to vehicle chamber side through a space in the electric wires of wire harness. <P>SOLUTION: A grommet is fitted to a wire harness that is routed into a vehicle chamber by way of a through hole of a car body panel from a water immersion region of a vehicle, and the grommet is tightly engaged with the inner peripheral surface of the through hole. The grommet includes an enlarged-diameter tube part in which an annular car body engaging recess is provided to the outer peripheral surface of a large diameter side, and a small diameter tube part in which an intermediate part in length direction is successive to a small diameter end of the enlarged-diameter tube part. One side of the small diameter tube part is protruded in the enlarged-diameter tube part, and the other side is protruded into a chamber side outside the enlarged-diameter tube part. The electric wires of the wiring harness penetrate the small diameter tube part tightly. The electric wires on both sides in length direction of the small diameter tube part are filled with a water-stop agent, to provide first and second water-stop points. A portion sandwiched between the first and second water-stop points is filled with a water absorption material to be a water storage part. An evaporation hole is provided on the upper surface side of an in-chamber protrusion part of the small diameter tube part surrounding the water storage part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
