<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce power consumption of an image formation apparatus having a function that shifts the apparatus to a power saving mode at a set time. <P>SOLUTION: A power saving mode shift retry circuit 50 includes an N shot multi-vibrator 51 which is supplied with a primary power saving shift trigger signal (pulse) supplied from a weekly timer 12, an AND gate 52 where an output of the vibrator 51 is supplied to one input terminal, and an inverter 53 which is connected to the other input terminal of the AND gate 52 and is supplied with a job execution signal JobOn. An output of the AND gate 52 is supplied to a reset input terminal R of the N shot multi-vibrator 51, for outputting a secondary power saving shift trigger signal from the AND gate 52.
