<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the capacitance value of a storage capacitor in a limited region on a substrate in an electro-optic device such as a liquid crystal device. <P>SOLUTION: An electro-optic device includes: a pixel electrode (9) provided on a substrate (10); a data line (6) and a scan line (11) intersecting with each other and provided between the substrate and the pixel electrode; a semiconductor layer (30a) provided between the substrate and the data line and including a first source-drain region electrically connected to the data line and a second source-drain region electrically connected to the pixel electrode; a first insulation film (42) provided between the data line and the semiconductor layer; a second insulation film (43) provided between the data line and the pixel electrode; and a storage capacitor (70) provided between the semiconductor layer and the pixel electrode and having an inner groove portion (70a) provided at least a part inside a groove (91) penetrating through the first insulation film and the second insulation film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
