MACHINE TOOL, MACHINING METHOD, PROGRAM, AND NC DATA GENERATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool which carries out machining based on relative movement between a non-circular cross-sectional workpiece and a tool as the relative position and the relative angle between the workpiece and the tool are changed in a plane including at least a cross-section of the workpiece, and maintains a constant angular velocity of tilting of a tool with respect to the workpiece and a constant cutting feed rate.

SOLUTION: In machining along a preset path on the workpiece 50, a total sum θse of the relative angle change of the workpiece 50 to the tool 8 from a point Ps where machining is started by the tool 8 on the preset path to a point Pe of finishing the machining is calculated, and the time needed in machining along the preset path is equally divided to tool paths. When the tool 8 passes the equal time division points on the tool path, machining is performed so that the relative angle between the tool 8 and the workpiece 50 continuously changes by the equally divided angle equally divided to the time needed in machining the total sum θse of the relative angle change.
