<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator that reduces the electric power of driving an automatic ice making device. <P>SOLUTION: The refrigerator is configured of: an ice tray 122 supplied water; a drive motor 123 for rotating the ice tray 122 to separate ice when supplied water freezes to form ice; and a control part for controlling the drive motor 123. The ice in the ice tray 122 is dropped to an ice storage case 124 arranged under the ice tray 122, and thereafter the drive motor 123 is driven by the control part to stop the ice tray 122 so that the ice tray is on a waiting position where the ice tray 122 waits in a water suppliable state. A stop position of the ice tray 122 overruns the horizontal position, and the ice tray 122 tilts on the waiting position.
