<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam dryer capable of enhancing the removal capacity of moisture contained in steam. <P>SOLUTION: The steam dryer arranged above the gas-water separator, which is positioned above a reactor core, includes a plurality of steam dryer elements 8A. Each of the steam dryer elements 8A is constituted so as to form a steam passage 14 between steam passage-forming members 11A and 11B. Liquid droplet separation plates 12B1, 12A2, 12B3, 12A4, 12B5, 12A6 and 12B7 are arranged in the steam passage 14. The liquid droplet separation plates 12A2, 12A4 and 12A6 are respectively attached to the steam passage-forming member 11A and the liquid droplet separation plates 12B1, 12B3, 12B5 and 12B7 are respectively attached to the steam passage-forming member 11B. The widths of the drain pockets 13A-13G formed by these liquid droplet separation plates become narrower toward the downstream drain pockets.
