The hood (10) has a frame (16) carrying a hood material and comprising a lever unit (26) having a lever arrangement (28) and by which an inherently stiff rear window (24) of the hood adjoins to the hood frame. The hood frame has a fabric clamp (18) and is adjustable between a lower and an upper position relative to the frame elements (22). The inherently stiff rear window is guided away by the lever unit while adjusting the clamp by a rear headrest (12) of the passenger car.
