The dishwasher has a housing portion comprising a receiving unit (140) accessible at a front side of the housing portion for receiving control modules (150, 170). The control modules are inserted into the receiving unit at the front side of the housing portion. The control modules comprise holding elements (152, 172) and operating devices (160, 180) that operate the dishwasher. The housing portion is formed as a diaphragm body (133) for a control diaphragm of the dishwasher. The operating device comprises operating buttons, where one of the buttons is arranged over the other button. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system for forming a household dishwasher (2) a method for manufacturing a household dishwasher.
