A method of making physical parameter measurement data of a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) accessible to a network management entity (NME), the method including: receiving a first message requesting that the WTRU measure and report at least one specific physical parameter; WTRU measuring the at least one specific physical parameter; and transmitting a second message including data associated with the at least one specific physical parameter measurement to an access point (AP) for storage in the management information database (MIB) of the AP.
