A package 100 for articles such as wipes comprises a first container 108 containing a fluent substance and a second container 102 containing the articles and the first container. The first container is openable when the second container is closed, preferably by means of a flexing, folding, snapping or shearing action. This allows adsorption and/or absorption of the substance by the articles. Also disclosed is a package (200, fig. 6) comprising a first compartment (204) containing a fluent substance and a second compartment (202) containing articles and separable from the first by a breakable portion (214, fig 7). Breaking means (216, fig. 8) are provided to break the breakable portion. Also disclosed is a package (300, fig. 13) comprising a first compartment (302) containing a fluent substance and a second compartment containing articles (304). The second compartment has an opening sealed by a closure to allow the articles to be removed one at a time, and the compartments are separated by an openable barrier. |
