Use of seed treatment agents from the carbamate insecticide group as safeners for oxadiozole herbicides

Use of seed treatment agents comprising carbamate-insecticides as safeners for avoiding or reducing phytotoxic effects of herbicides comprising oxadiazolones on useful crops, preferably cultural crops, is claimed. Independent claims are included for: (1) crop protective agents comprising the seed treatment agents optionally in the form of the seed dressing formulation, in combination with herbicides and, optionally formulation auxiliaries; (2) a method of protecting cultural or useful plants against phytotoxic effects of herbicides, which cause damage to plants, comprising applying the active agents comprising carbamate-insecticides as safener on the seed of the useful plants; and (3) a method for the selective control of weeds in crops of useful plants, comprising applying the seed treatment agents, optionally in the form of a seed dressing formulation before, after or simultaneously with the seed of the useful plants with herbicides, on seeds, parts of plants, soil or water.
