The method involves receiving a monitoring request from a communication device, where the monitoring request is provided with monitoring period. A reception time is determined from the monitoring period. Vital signs signals are received from the communication device. A disconnection of connection is carried out to the communication device, if after receiving the last sign of vital signal no new sign of vital signal is received from the first communication device within the reception time. An independent claim is also included for a computer program product with instructions for executing a monitoring method.
