A method for managing terminal information in a wireless communication network is provided to improve the users' convenience by periodically checking a change in various information data stored in a mobile terminal and requesting the mobile terminal to upload modified information data so that data recovery can be easily achieved in case the information data of the mobile terminal is destroyed due to the breakdown of the mobile terminal. If a terminal information management server makes a terminal information modification state request to a mobile terminal(S10), the microprocessor of the mobile terminal checks creation/modification/deletion states for various information data stored in the memory(S11). Then the mobile terminal transmits modification check results to the terminal information management server(S12). Based on the modification check results, the terminal information management server requests the mobile terminal to upload changed information data(S13). In response to the upload request, the mobile terminal uploads created/modified/deleted terminal information data through a communication channel of a wireless communication network(S14). The terminal information management server stores the uploaded information data in a terminal information database, creates upload complete information if the uploading is completed, and transmits it to the mobile terminal(S15). |
