PURPOSE: A support device for a structure is provided to reduce the height and size of an elastic bearing by absorbing a horizontally applied load using a friction applying unit. CONSTITUTION: A support device(100) for a structure comprises a lower member(110), an upper member(130), first and second arm members(150,160), friction applying units(170), and a load support unit(180). The lower member is fixed to a support structure. The upper member is fixed to the bottom surface of an upper structure which supports the support structure. The first arm members are installed on the lower member to be horizontally rotatable around first joints. The second arm members are installed on the upper member to be horizontally rotatable around second joints and are connected to the first arm members through third joints. The friction applying units are installed on the third joints and absorb a load horizontally applied to the upper structure. The load support unit is installed between the lower and upper members and support the load of the upper structure to the support structure. |
